We set up to paint in the wind this morning and about 30 minutes later it started to rain a little. I continued to paint and the rain let up. Then it started up again, just a little but there was some thunder . So we all started to gather our supplies up to go in. I paint with acrylics, so I wasted a lot of paint. I did get the sky in, the foreground and the tree line in. While I was cleaning up I dropped the painting in the grass, face down, NOT GOOD.
Our friend Amelia prepared a wonderful lunch in her beautiful 1794 cabin/home for us. Her father was there to share the family history as well. It was a fascinating morning. I hope to do it again, and soon.
The photo above is the scene I was wanting to paint today. I will finish up the painting using the photo.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
