watercolor 11" x 18"
I'm starting to miss this watercolor, it's been on display in the Atlanta area for a while now. I'm ready for it to come home. There are two others on display with it but for some reason, I'm wishing this one was home, safe in my studio.
As artists, we sometimes get attached to some works and others, not so much. I did this after I chaperon at a school dance. The colors, energy and emotions of the evening reminded me of days gone by. Those exciting days in high school when you felt like a princess all dressed up and a charming young man at your side. Just to come home to realize you're just the average girl in home town America, only I was the average girl in rural America. Those were great days but I wouldn't go back to high school for anything. I really didn't care for high school. So why did I become a high school art teacher? LONG STORY!
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
