Tenn. Watercolor Society holding 2nd Annual Show
By Patricia Sharpe
Clarksville art enthusiasts can, again this year, enjoy the Tennessee Watercolor Society Second Annual Regional Show during the month of September at the Historic L&N Train Station. Due to the fabulous response last year, the Society would like to make this exhibit a yearly one. This is a very good manner in which to educate the public on the mission of the Society, the merits of this medium and the beauty of watermedia.
Patrons, and those interested in fine art, will get a chance to seeworks by some of the best watercolorists in Middle Tennessee, including several local, well-known artists.
Paintings will include traditional watercolor, but also mixed media and en plein air, as well as a variety of techniques, styles, palettes and subject matter. This is an excellent opportunity to view and discuss with the artists their individual approaches.
The opening reception will be September 5, from 5 to 7 PM, in conjunction with the ArtWalk with the exhibit showing through the month of September.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
