These are the artworks I exhibited in the "Sweet Tea and Southern Art" for the 2016 year. I went with some personal works to share with my town of Erin. The piece above is my self-portrait, "Obviously Me", The back ground is leaves because I love trees. Then there's my family, my husband and my two wonderful sons. My silhouette is in the lower right side of the piece with my church, my drawing board and a tree with large leaves. I love my family, love trees, love the Lord and thank him for it all, yes, even my talent for drawing.
The two Pen & Inks were part of a Series, entitled Chris. My Son exploring the great outdoors. The Series was done when Chris was a young man and now he has a family of his own. This will probably be the last time I exhibit these works because they will be going to live with Chris.
The last two are of the Erin area. The Red Bud sold the first night and I was trilled that it will be going to a new home. Tree Tops and Spring Red Bud are both pen & ink with a watercolor wash. They are a lot of fun to do.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
