I'm drawing a 24" x 18" charcoal pencil drawing for my son. He has been asking me to do one for a while, it's about time I got busy on it. It will be done in the same technique as the drawing above. The drawing above is about half that size. I measured out the paper today and it takes up most of the real estate of my large drawing board. (yes, I have three) I'm excited but it's been a while since I've drawn that big. I do love to draw, especially in charcoal, it's right behind my love for Pen and Ink.
While I was getting out the paper for the drawing, I cleaned up my drawing paper file. I have neglected it and it cost me. Four beautiful large sheets are damaged at the corners. I can still get smaller drawings out of them but for an artist, it was heart breaking to see. But, it was also inspirational, all those beautiful papers I have to draw on. I love paper.
All in all, another wonderful day at the studio.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
