12" x 6" Acrylic
yesterday at the studio. The photo has a glare on the bottom left, I took it with my phone. It's a painting of one of Montgomery Bell's hiking trails. They have lots of beautiful trails to walk. This is one of our favorite state parks in Tennessee, and just down the down from us. The painting was done from an old photo I took a few years ago. It's a small canvas, gallery wrap 1.5 inches. They are fun to do and they don't take long at all. The small ones are studies to see if I want to do a larger painting. I will be doing a larger one of this, I'm thinking a watercolor because of the airy feeling of the woods. We came up on this clearing in the middle of the dense woods on top of a steep hill (Tennessee Hill). I had doctors appointments today so I didn't get to the studio.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
