Kevin Menck's workshop this morning was worth the trip to Franklin and so much more. I learned a lot but after lunch when we were starting to paint, the lighting started. I had just put out my paint (ACRYLICS) and we waited a while before packing up. So I lost my paints, I had to clean my palette and packed up. I headed back to the host gallery Leipier Creek Gallery (my Dad was from Leipier Fork). I decided by the time the rain came and went I would be lucky to get an hour and a half of painting time, so I came on home.
Kevin paints values as his foundation for his paintings and he teaches an excellent workshop !
Sherry, an artist I met at Lori Putnam's workshop was there today too. We both lived in Gwinnett County and we both worked in the Gwinnett School System about the same time. We are both from Tennessee and retired in Tennessee. Small world !!!
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
