Undisturbed , old growth forest
Today was my first time to paint plein air with the Chestnut Group in Nashville. We hiked into an undisturbed, old growth forest area that is part of the Warner Parks. The trees were huge and the whole area was beautiful. The hike was a little more than I anticipated. I thought I was going to die at times. The other artists were wonderful to me and helped me with my backpack up the very steep hills (2). They said it was a very rugged hike, I made it but not gracefully. I was huffing and puffing. I don't know what I was thinking. More photos of the area below. Oh yes, I did paint but I didn't finish it. more about this area http://www.friendsofwarnerparks.com/ht_index.html
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
