I painted today with four friends in Clarksville. It was very relaxing until the mosquitoes came out. I've learned a lot the last four weeks of painting out doors - the sun. Yes, I wear a hat but the angle the sun hits my eye can distort my vision. Today, It was cloudy and I sat up with the sun to the side of my face. When the sun came out,(still cloudy) I could not detect the true color of the scene. The other day, the sun was in front of me, in the shade. By the time I left there I was sick as a dog. It was kind of the way I feel when I'm surrounded by white (snow blindness). It was awful, both times. The sun is going to have to stay behind me from now on. I didn't finish today and I forgot to take a pic of my work. I'll try to finish up in the studio tomorrow.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
