I like to take my pen and ink with me, especially when I have appointments at the doctors and getting my car serviced. I love having it when I want it.
I won the brown case recently at an DAC membership meeting. Before I was using a micro computer case which was great but the padding made it heavy. The case is called "Global Art Genuine Leather Colored Pencil Cases" It has two zippered sides. I use one side to store my sketchbook and one side to carry my sharpies.
My sketch book is a favorite of mine for pen and ink and I can also use it was a watercolor wash. I also draw on location, the hard cover allows me the freedom to actually stand and draw. It's 6" x 9" and fits in the case or small bag. It is made by Holbein and called a Multi Drawing Book. They come in many sizes.
I got an early Christmas present and my drawing kit fits right into the wonderful tote. It's light and has room for photos to draw from. You could put your Ipad or Tablet in there too. The other side has pockets for sharpeners and erasers. There is room to take my color pencils or watercolors too. I think I going to love it.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
