I thought I might share with you one of my very first commissions from years ago (20+ years). There were only a few small damaged photos of the client's home place. The client and I had to piece the images together and then we had to fill in the blank. We worked to rebuild the house almost once a week until it was finished as there just wasn't much to work with. It is still one of my favorites, simply because of the challenge of recreating an image of a place so dear in someone's heart. I did the front and back of the house. The back was incredibly beautiful but I don't have a photo of it. It was a beautiful place to grow up.
I did commissions for people before I went into teaching art in public school, after that I simply didn't have time to do them anymore. I didn't draw or paint for myself while teaching. I'm trying to catch up on lost time now.
I didn't do any thing today but rest. I'm still so sore from the fall the other
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
