Where has the month of October gone.
The first of the month I took a road trip to see family in Evansville and then to visit Owensboro River Walk and the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. I returned just in time for Hopkinsville, Ky's first Plein Air Paint Out and I placed 2nd with the watercolor above. That was Sat., Oct 6 and then I had duty at the DAC on Tuesday the 9th. I worked on the small 6' x 9" pen and ink above. It still needs a few more darks in it to make it to stand out. Yesterday, I made it to my first Nashville Artist Guild meeting and listened to artist Noah Saterstrom, who is making his living as an artist in Nashville. Click on his name and check out his work. Today, I had three visitors in my studio to talk art with and I did get some painting done. I need to get busy on some art, 2019 will be here before we know it.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
