![]() Most of my day was spent on researching images in the early 1900's. I was on the internet looking for photos of the old Train Depot in Erin and found nothing. The Depot was torn down years ago and I know I've seen photos of it either at the City Hall or Court House. So Monday I'll try the Houston County Library first, then the other buildings. I'll be sure to take a sketchbook and pencil along with my phone to take a photo or two. I did draw some before I got to where I needed the Train Depot reference. While searching for photos, I did run across a lot of history of the L&N Railroad. I enjoyed reading all that good stuff and I might have linger a little too long on an article or two. I'll try to manage my time better in the achieves on Monday.Have a good week-end everyone.

![]() It wasn't all work today, we had fun at the studio. Today my granddaughter modeled for me. In front of the camera she was wonderful. But getting her to sit still so I could draw her was another story. She wouldn't be still. I'm glad she came so I could get some photos and it's always good to work on my drawing skills. When I looked at the photos tonight, she looks so much like me at that age. I knew she favored me, but I did not know just how much. It was a GREAT Day in the Studio. ![]() Between shots and still smiling. My Granddaughter was so sweet to help me out. She posed in different outfits, in different areas of the studio and yet she kept smiling. And, it was a little warm working up there in the studio. I did get some really good shots and I can't wait to get started working on the new series. Here they are, done with a quill and ink. Yes, the tiny dip pen. They are
both 16" x 12". I really enjoyed doing them, I just hope they liked them. I'm adding these to the drawing category on the site. |
