12" x 16" watercolor
I decide last night, I was going to the studio today. I had to ignore the garden and just go, I picked enough corn yesterday to do everyone for a while. At 8:30 I was there and ready to paint. I started this watercolor (left), it's 12 x 16 inches. I was so antsy and rushing the painting for some reason. So I took a break and packed for my workshop with Dawn Whitelaw. Then I continued to work on the painting, but I was still to hyper. I really wanted to finish it today but I knew I'd better just stop before I messed it up but good. It's been over a week since I was in my studio and I could sure tell it.
I have a workshop tomorrow with Dawn Whitelaw in Nashville. It is a four day workshop and I've been looking forward to this one for a while. I'll be working in acrylics. Most all the other artists will be working in oils as always. We will be painting the head from a live model. And yes, I'm nervous.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
