Brother in law's gift

This is the gift I was working on a few days before Christmas.  It's my brother-in-laws bike, his pride and joy.  I did it in acrylic, 16" x 12" and finished it out in marker.  It's not a very good photo of it but it was fun to do.

From Artist to Artist!

Sunday I had the most wonderful experience.  I walked into the sanctuary and one of my friends waved to me and pointed me out to her grandson of about five years old.  After the service, she said he had a something for me.  I knew right off it was a gift from artist to artist. She had purchased the "C" is for Clarksville  Book and I'm sure she had told him I was the artist who drew one of the artworks in the book.  I have to say I feel very honored.

Stupid Floor, STUPID Floor

12/23/2014

Yes, the stupid floor is getting the best of me. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and that floor will NOT be down.  I need to relax and enjoy Christmas, so I did for a little while today.  I went shopping with my daughter in law and my grandson this morning.  I came back to the studio to work on the drawing I'm doing for a gift. I was really getting into the Christmas spirit.  Then I came home at  6 to deal with the floor.  Tomorrow, I'm not going to think about the floor.I'm going to think about family and friends, the Christ Child and celebrate the birth of Jesus,  I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

I worked on a Christmas Gift today and I hope I can get back tomorrow to finish it up in time for Christmas.  It's looking good so far.  I came home to work on the floor in the bathroom and I'm not doing well putting that mess down.  I think I might have to call on the hubby for help.  I'm a little too weak to cut it straight and it really needs to be straight. I sure wanted this done before Christmas but I think it's going to have to be after Christmas.

It's the bathroom and bedroom walls. I got the walls in the bathroom painted yesterday. Now I have to work on the bedroom wall and the closet !  Then the FLOOR, I'm dreading the floor the most.  Hopefully, I'll be back in the studio painting MONDAY!

We had a lot of work done on our bathroom and I started this morning priming the drywall.  I just finished painting the ceiling.  Tomorrow, I'll paint the walls. If all goes as planned, the floor will be in Sat. By the 23rd, I'll have my bathroom back, new and improved.  I've waited 2 years to get this done.

The American Academy of Equine Art, Inc. was established in 1980 by a group of ten distinguished artists, individually famed for their work on equine subjects.
Today I had a doctors appointment in Clarksville.  While I was in Clarksville, I went by the museum to buy some calendars and see the two equestrian art exhibits.  There is one in the main gallery, but don't forget, there is another is the basement gallery. The American Academy of Equine Art group has their work in the basement.  The group was established in 1980 by a group of ten artist known for their work on equine subjects.  It's a beautiful show.
also if you would like to pick me the calendar, here is more information. The 2015 AHDC Cultural Calendar features work from local artists of scenes from Montgomery County and reminders of community events for each month. Calendars are on sale for $7 each at Customs House Museum and the Downtown Artists Cooperative .  My artwork is featured for the month of June.

Plein Air on discount for the Holidays!
I worked most of the day hanging up the plein air painting on one wall.  I still have these left for sale at half price and I have both watercolor and acrylic painting available.   I have these paintings (plein air) on sale for 50% off.  I need some wall space in my studio to say the least.

Also, the saw went home today.  The client acted like they really loved it.

Below are some photos of the  paintings on sale, mostly 8" x 10", 8"x10" are $75 each, framed.

Yupo again - experimenting

liquid watercolor, marker and crayon on yupo paper.
I started this experimental piece back in June.  I've added to it, washed it and added again and again, now I have something I like.  It's still trees, but that's what I know.  My son told me, he didn't like it.  My husband told me that he did. He knows me best!  My sister just looked for a while and said it was interesting. I've been working on it so long, I have no idea how I feel about it.
