I had to take down my artwork at Bongo Java last night. We didn't get back until late, we were able to start taking it down at little early and we were out of there by 10:00pm I dropped all 14 pieces at the studio before church today. I will be rehanging painting tomorrow in the studio.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know I have so much to be thankful for. Enjoy your day with family and friends. And for those who have to work this holiday, we are thankful for you too. God Bless!
My husband wanted me to come up with a Christmas Card this year with an image of Erin on it. So I went into the Studio today to work on it. Well, the image above is what I came up with but he doesn't like care for it. He liked the painting alright but it wasn't what he had imagined when he asked me to do the card. I procrastinated, he has been after me to do this for a while. If I was going to get them printed in time, I needed to be finished today. So next year, maybe next year. Erin is a beautiful place and I do love living here and would love to be able to share that with everyone. Maybe I'll put show on the lime kiln!!!!
Same old routine, after a trip you have to return and put up all your gear. Then you have to take care of everything you should have taken care of while you were gone. Add to this, I had to shop for Thanksgiving Day. I've got the turkey and I'll start cooking tomorrow! The family is coming - So very Thankful to be Home in Tennessee.
I had a wonderful three days to paint in the Smoky Mountain. Thanks to Artists Kevin Menck and Cathleen Windham for hosting such a wonderful retreat. They found the perfect place just out of Townsend and Cathleen prepared our meals. She is a wonderful cook, loved the "Hot Chicken salad"! We had hot delicious meals each night along with a fire in the fireplace, it was wonderful. I got to paint with some fabulous artists and super nice people, their spouses were wonderful as well. Great week-end.
Only an artist would be thinking 'how to carry wet paintings' before breakfast . Myself , I was thinking food.
First one today. I did get 2 painted yesterday but the last one wasn't to "hot"! I'm at lunch and then back to paimting I went back to Cades Cove this morning . I'm having lunch now and hope to get one more painted today. . I decided to go to Cades Cove to paint today . I started at 11 and left a 1:00 , then I rode through Cade's Cove to see where I might paint tomorrow. I saw a cub but not the mother so I didn't get out of my car . I got here around 5:30 pm and dinner was wonderful. I'm turning in early so I can get an early start painting tomorrow . |
