![]() I'm counting my blessing, enjoying family and enjoying the Turkey! I have so much to be very thankful for, I'm home after 18 years and loving it. I have the best husband, sons, daughter in laws, grandchildren, sisters and brother. I also have my extended family in Evansville to be so thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! The drawing is my self portrait, "Obviously Me". It was done years ago. It sums me up and I worked on the commissioned piece most of the day. I did find a few minutes to finish up this one from the mts.trip. Happy thanksgiving everyone! ![]() I'll be starting another watercolor tomorrow at the Train Station in Clarksville with our small group of artists. It looks as if the weather might be bad in the morning. I hope it doesn't happen and the roads are clear tomorrow. Here is another commissioned piece from years gone by. The client and I put this one together from different damaged old photos. We reconstructed it, as there were no photos of the whole house left and the house had burned. I also did the back of the house. ![]() Thanksgiving Week starts off with a trip to visit some family members with health problems. Tuesday I'll be painting with my friends. Wednesday I'll be cooking and Thursday I'll be cooking and eating with my family. Friday,I just might get back to the studio. The first of Dec. I'll be mostly in the studio. Dec 6 th is the houston county arts and crafts holiday show. I'll be there! The Photo is one of last years Christmas Commissions. ![]() I didn't get to the studio to get any artwork done. I have a commission I've got to get done and I can't get to the studio. Yesterday I had Houston County Leadership and I did enjoy my day. I knew the county was small but the city of Erin has about 1500 people living here with 250 county employees. I worked in a high school that was bigger than that. We had 300 teachers and 3000+ students. I do love it here in Erin, there is no other place like it. I plan to be in the studio tomorrow. By the way, Houston County has over 8000 people! ![]() working on the commission piece today. I think I solved one of the problems today but I'll know for sure when I get to work on it again. The holidays get so frustrating so early. I have a meeting tomorrow and then the church has a fundraiser on Friday. I need time in the studio and I have to get this commission finished ASAP. Time is getting short. The photo above was a commission piece from two years ago Christmas. It was a green house in SC. Below are two more pen and inks that were commissioned in Atlanta. ![]() I've been working on this watercolor while painting with friends in Clarksville. We meet once a week to paint for three hours. This watercolor was a new experience for me. I painted for the first time on watercolor canvas. The color soaked into the canvas and I wasn't happy with it so I went back in with ink. I'll look at it again to tomorrow to make sure it doesn't need anything else but it's close to being finished. Yes, we had a great morning painting in Clarksville with Patsy, Hillda, Roger, and myself. We had two artists out this morning. I did the two paintings today and saw a Mama bear and three babies! |
