and nothing to show for it. I worked all day on paper work, someone has to do it. Tomorrow I have a meeting and next week is doctor appointments. I give up!

I painted with my two Art Buddies today. I really didn't get much painting done today because we were laughing too much. The only reason I'm sharing these photos is because one of my buddies commented on how much she liked the watercolor. We did get a critique or two in on what we are working on. I got a few more sketches done on the commission piece and I think I finally have the right angle. Now I can get excited! The photos above are of the same scene but in three different media. Charcoal, Ink and watercolor. I wasn't happy with the first one, charcoal and then I did the ink. I loved it so I did the watercolor, I like the watercolor but I like the ink better. Oh well that was two years ago. Another great day with my ART BUDDIES!
I was painting with friends Wednesday at the Studio and I got a lot done. I was getting paper out of the flat files to do some sketches for a commission job. and a small painting fell to the floor. I picked it up and got the new sheet of watercolor paper out. I worked on the commission, finished my sketch and then looked at the small watercolor that was almost finished. So after four years, I finished it. I did it on location in Monteagle TN with a group from Atlanta, it started to rain so we stopped and went on back to where we were staying. The wonderful lady I was painting with (Rosemary) was in her 80s and has passed on since that day, she was a great painting buddy. So this small old unfinished painting is now finished and new. Wednesday was a very good day.
Some of my Tennessee Landscapes are on display at the Clarksville Senior Citizens Center on Clark ST. I have a few watercolors, arcylics and pen & inks hanging as you enter the building. I drove in this morning to hang the exhibit and it will be there the month of July.
I headed towards the studio today. I feel better today than I have in three weeks. I have some sketching to get done for a commission piece. Life is GOOD!
I started this a while back. I have been sick going on two weeks Sat.but I painted yesterday with my ART BUDDIES (Hilda and Judy). I have to said that I laughed so hard, I think it helped me to feel a lot better today. I'm still not a 100% but I think I might survive this yet. Below are the different steps in the process of this painting. It was done using the techniques from the Kathleen Conover Workshop.
