This afternoon I finished 10 of the "Friends of the Library " Project. I have 40 more to go and there will be a total of 5 scenes of 10 each.
My artist friends from Clarksville, the 2Rivers Painters, came today and we had a wonderful time. We talked about our new Web Site and it's almost finished. We walked across the street for some delicious food at Paul's Pizza. I had pizza and they had sandwiches so good! The other artists told me how much they liked my studio. I have to say, I'm pretty proud of it.
Another GREAT DAY!
Below are the steps while I was painting the "Limekiln & the Lake".
Tomorrow my artist friends that I paint with at the Train Station are coming to my studio. I am excited and I hope we can all fit in comfortably and be able to paint. It will be fun, of course it will, we are all going out for lunch together.
I did work today in the studio. I touched up three paintings, worked on the "friends of the library" project, cleaned the studio and went kayaking late in the afternoon with friends. We got home a little late, so a light supper before writing my blog. Yes, it was another great day.
I want to thank all my dear friends who went to see my artwork at the Customs House during the month of July. I so appreciate your supporting my new career. It's been a life long dream to be a professional artist and doing what I've always loved to do, draw and paint. I just crossed the three year mark and I think I'm doing pretty well at being an ARTIST. Thank you everyone and thanks for the posts on facebook too. I love being back home in Tennessee with friends and family, love you all.
Great day! My Sister was at the studio at 8:30 this morning. We walked the greenway and had lunch together, she will be returning to the classroom next week. After lunch I worked on the Project of the Library. I added the buff and water, tomorrow is greenery. I researched and brain stormed for ideas on the Courage Unmasked Project. I worked on some paperwork and scheduling for art events coming up. I also played a few minutes on that YUPO painting, still trying to save it. Like I said, Great Day!
I got by the Studio today only after a meeting in Clarksville for their First Plein Air Paint Out in Oct. followed by Doctor's appointment. I started on the 50 Mini Canvases for the Houston County Friends of the Library. I need to finish them by Sept. These 10 will be of the Lime Kiln by the Lime Quarry Lake.
I did get to the studio but I didn't get much done, I should do better tomorrow! I hope I do a lot better tomorrow.
I took off last week from the Studio! Yes, I was on vacation. I have been so busy since Dec. and I needed a break. Tomorrow I should be back to work at the studio, after a trip to the dentist for my six month check up.
I couldn't leave well enough alone. I worked on the yupo painting some more and really liked it, but of course, I didn't take a photo of it. Instead I came back in and worked on it some more and killed it. It was so dark and muddy. So I gave it a bath and started again and it's already too dark in places. It might be time for another bath. I may never get this right. I'll keep trying.
This is the mask that I will be working with for the "Courage Unmasked" . The radiation masks are fitted to the patient's face. I am to create an "Art Mask" to be auctioned at a fundraising event this Sept. 27th.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
