June quickly passes away and I've done nothing in the studio. I've started paintings and one drawing but it seems I can't get them finished. There is so much going on and I'm so busy but I can't figure out what I'm busy doing. I hope July is kinder to me and I can get back on schedule. Evidently, June must always be a busy time for me. I checked back and last year I have nothing to show for June. The sketches above were from June 2015 from a one day drawing session with a live model. I have nothing in the records for June 2014 either. SAD, very sad.

Opening Reception
Thursday, July 6th 5-8:00pm Spend the evening with members of the DAC (and me) as they unveil our 2017 Membership Exhibit. I will have the two paintings above in the show and one more. I hope to see you there! Music by Stuart Bonnington, Gerald Bonner and Tom Griffin. Generously sponsored by Glenn Edgin / The FrameMaker, Sango Wine & Spirits, F & M Bank & Ellen and David Kanervo. I'm working to recreate an old Homeplace for a friend of mine. Only two photos to work from and either one shows the house in it entirety. One is the side of the house with the family standing for a group pic. It's the top of the chimney and one upstairs window. The other one is the middle of the house with no ends. Was it a four column house or a six?? I'm still working on sketches to show her tomorrow. But, I think I'm getting close.
LBL (Land between the Lakes) had their Old Time Picking Party this last week end. I went down with David and their Dulcimer Group. They were asked to come and share the Mountain Dulcimer with guest and perform Sat. and Sun. I went down to get some photos to draw by and I did a little drawing while I was there. It was a very relaxing week end. LBL, and the Homeplace is located in Dover, TN.
It seems this week in the week of meetings and appointments. Tuesday I had a doctors appointment in Nashville. We stopped by Plaza Art Supply store after the appointment and then lunch with the Grandbabies and our son. Wednesday I volunteer at the Chamber in Erin and another artists decorated the windows for the July 4th Holiday. She finished up today and the windows look great. Today I worked in the STUDIO on a commissioned piece, I have got to get it finished ASAP. Then a meeting for the county Fair this evening. Tomorrow, I will be in the studio again and I need to wash my windows first thing. Later in the afternoon, I have a meeting for another commissioned piece and I'm excited about the possibilities of working on it.. Life is Good, very good.
