This little drawing has been sitting in my drawing pad waiting for it's finishing touches. i went in this morning and while waiting to meet a friend for lunch, I decided to just do it. I liked it so much, I framed it immediately. Of course, I forgot to take a photo of it before a framed it. So it's pictured here under glass and that's never a good idea. It's in a 10" x 8" frame, the image is 5" x 7" and it's available. Just click the "Contact the Artist" if you're interested. Thanks.
I'm a member of the 2Rivers Society of Painters in Clarksville. Our artwork will be hanging at the Trahern Mansion through-out 2019. Tomorrow we are changing out our artwork.,I'll be delivering the two painters above. We will be having a fundraiser for the Smith Trahern in September of this year.
May 19, I've only been to the studio a few days this month. But, the tomatoes are out and the asparagus patch is weeded and fresh straw is down. 30+ baby silkies (chickens) are here now and the flower bed is looking great. Now, maybe I can get back to the studio to do some artwork. It's been a beautiful spring.
It's so quiet out on this rainy day. It's a gentle spring rain and I love days like this. I went to the studio to finish up the two workshop pieces I did in Trenton with Rose Edin. She is really good with color and co-authored a book entitled "Color Harmony". The workshop was wonderful.
While I was waiting for paint to dry, I matted a few of my recent artworks pictured at the top of the blog. Below are the two pieces I did in the workshop. I left a day early so I could attend my friend's opening reception. I can't be at the Studio tomorrow Friday, May 10th. Sorry, I had to change shifts at the DAC because of a doctor's appointment. So I'll be at the DAC tomorrow and not my Studio. I'll be back in town Friday night and Saturday if you want to look or need something.. If you want to come by call me or use the contact form here on the website. Thanks everyone!
I do have many gift ideas for Moms in the Studio for Mother's Day. Jewelry by Karen Black, Wood turning by DR Reid and Artwork by me. I'll be in the Studio Wednesday and Friday 2:00 tile 6:00.
As most of you know, Hilda Waide is my best Artist Buddy. She is having a solo show at the DAC this month, May 2-31st. The DAC just installed new lighting and her show is beautiful!! 40 plus artworks, such a talented lady. The reception was wonderful with lots of friends and family.
