I worked all day cleaning (I was pretty clean to begin with) and organizing my supplies. I need a cabinet like the one I had at the Tannery, but it broke into pieces moving it up here from Georgia. I could actually start working but I like to get my paintings and drawing display better. I need to buy some track lights and a hanging system and I'll be ready. Stop by, there are 25 steps at the front of the building and 20 in the back. I'm actually in the back half of the building.

I moved my studio into the Sam Houston Room upstairs of the Emerald City Building in Erin, Tn. Tomorrow I clean and move the drawing board around for the best place to work. I won't be hanging the paintings tomorrow, I have to come up with a system for hanging that won't damage the walls. The walls are almost 130 years old.
Here's a web site with a photo of my new studio place http://businessclarksville.com/2011/12/04/emerald-city-erin-dawns-its-holiday-apparel-37115/city-of-erin-in-xmas-attire-12-0311-12/ It was a sad day today, I moved out of my studio at Tannery Row Artist colony. I'll be back for the Plein Air Show in Sept. I sure had a great studio there and I loved it. I do have a really nice place in Erin and I'll be moving in tomorrow. I think I'll be just fine.
I should be moving out of my Tannery Row Studio this Wed. and I will be very sad about that. But I should be moving into my new Studio Thursday or Friday. I'm going to be in Erin, Tn. It's a very small town near Clarksville, my home town. The space is beautiful and it's in the oldest building in Erin. I should have photos in about a week. I'm excited and sad. Emotions are running high these days.
If the move goes through, I have a studio already. It will be a mile from the new house and right in town. It's in the oldest building in town. It's going to be wonderful, but I'll miss
We have a contract on our house, so we are packing stuff up and fixing up. It's just hard to concentrate on drawing or painting right now. There is just too much going on in my head.
We are working on the house to sell it. The house inspector has the list, the list was given to us to do. It wasn't too bad and with any luck we will be through with our part by Tuesday.
I'm starting a pen and ink, mainly to keep myself sane. We have a contract on the house, but it could still fall through. And we are hoping to close on the TN. property in two week, again, that could fall through. So I'm going to the Tannery tomorrow to draw and get my mind off the houses.
We had a lot of beautiful wash off paintings today at Thursday Things. I even had one to turn out pretty nice and it was the demon. I think everyone had a good time at the Tannery today.
I will be sharing "Wash Off Painting" tomorrow at 11:00 at Tannery Row Artist Colony. The paintings turn out to look a little like a wood cut. It's fun and $4. will cover the cost of supplies.
