I wanted David to get the camper ready for me to use again, but it's not working. So I thought I would place a few pics of the camper to help him remember the fun times we had traveling. I have to admit, I used the camper more than he did because I used it for workshops, I miss it. It worked out so well for me to paint and work in. I'll let you know if it works but I'm not holding my breath. .
I'll be headed to Milan, TN for my annual learning workshop through the GCVAA (Gibson County Visual Arts Association). I leave Sunday! Don Andrews will be teaching the week long workshop in Watercolor! I'm not as familiar with his artwork but I've never been disappointed with any of the workshops I've taken through GCVAA. These workshops take me out of my comfort zone and are always challenging in many ways. The group of artists that attend annually are amazing and it's always so good to see them each year. I did miss not seeing everyone last year.
Also, David might get the old camper up and going again for me to use it. I love the toy hauler for these workshops. I can make a mess and hoses it out. I'm so looking forward to my trip.
I went down to our creek and the blue bells are so beautiful this year. There's a few red buds still and the dogwoods are gorgeous. I had a few blue bells last year and a friend gave me several to plant. They all came back this year and they are so pretty. I love this time of year. I like to go plein air painting (in the open air) this time of year and in the fall when it's nice out. The painting above was painted 8 years ago in Chattanooga, TN. at the Reflections Riding Nature Center. If you are in the area you need to at least drive through it. https://www.reflectionriding.org/www I'll be painting plein air again tomorrow in Clarksville with the DAC Plein Air Painters.
Two more pics from Chattanooga plein air trip:
Delivered this commissioned piece a week or so ago. It was to be a gift.
It's done in Acrylic and is 18" x 24". There is a huge wooded area in front of the front yard (shadows in the foreground are from the trees). It's a beautiful area in Tennessee. The house sits up in this large clearing and more woods are in the back. Trees, Trees beautiful trees.
The photo isn't the best, I used my phone and in a hurry!
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
