I was commissioned to do a barn painting. I haven't done a barn painting is a few years now. The paintings above have all gone to new homes except for the small barn in the mountain scene (last one). The first four are done in watercolors. I'm excited and looking forward to painting this one in the next week or two.
I've done a lot of "home places" but this one was a very unique one. The family's castle in Ireland. The left side was bombed out but I think it is still beautiful. Thanks Beverly for letting me do this one for you.
As most of you know, I love trees!! The weather here in Tennessee has been very wet and the buttercups are blooming. So Spring is on my mind! I really enjoyed working on this one the last two days. It's about 10" x 12" and I think I'm going to float it in a white frame. And yes, it's for sale!
These tiny paintings are less than 2" square. I have been painting these tiny birds for two years now and turning them into magnets / ornaments. The set above were actually commissioned by a high school classmate for her daughter who recently finished her Thesis on these little guys.
I've done a few Blue Jays and I'll do a few of those for the next holiday season. I love Finches, so maybe I'll do a few of those and the Carolina Chickadee.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
