8" x 8" pen & ink and wash on claybord
at the studio today. I finished the "dancing" trees I did last night in pen and ink. I cleaned up the drawing with the x-acto knife, it was like a knife sliding over butter. Then I added a watercolor wash, it did surprisingly well on the clay. While that dried, I brewed some tea to stain my drawing paper to make it look old. I then worked on the drug store bricks and finished up with blocking in the railroad painting. I just went from one work to another. Also, an artist friend stopped by to chat. I always enjoy visiting with her and talking ART. It was a very nice day.
This is an adventure for me, something I've always wanted to do: to be a real Artist! So I rented a studio, lets see how it goes.
