I went to the studio to finish this painting and check the frames I already have only to learn I need to go buy another frame.
I had this painting finished I thought except for glazing. I put my glaze on the dark trees and they all came right off the board. I was not happy. I'm using the new Golden Open Acrylics and they stay wet longer than most acrylic. But I did those trees days ago and they came right up. The only thing I can figure is the painting was done on a gessoed board and it is very smooth. And just minutes before this happen I was thinking, "I really like working on these boards", not so much now.
This painting will be part of the show presented by The Chestnut Group, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit The Frist Center for the Visual Arts. I should be in the studio tomorrow to finish up one more painting and then I want to start something NEW!
